Day 25 - Your Day in Great Detail.

When you say ‘your day’, when is it suppose to start? Mine started at midnight, which was when I attempted to go to bed, but within half an hour, Dylan woke up and after that, decided to wake up approx every half an hour to 45 mins. Around 3:30 am, I texted Andy (sleeping on the couch) that I was having a terrible night and ‘could he pls come earlier to take Dylan’. Andy came upstairs and said he’d come and take him at 5am. And he did. I then slept until 9.

At 9:30am Maddie & Tom arrived to join us to go check out a house (or rather; huge mansion - 7 bedrooms) in a place called Robertsbridge. We have been toying with the idea of living more communally to get more connection, support and community and this house is a potentional space for that idea.

Andy and I had been to the house once before, it’s huge and beautiful with a large bit of land behind it, but it’s also pretty dilapidated.

Around 12:30 we had lunch in a pub in Robertsbridge which had great food (I had a ciabatta sandwich with goat’s cheese and pesto and some lettuce like things, very yummy). We sat outside in the sun and discussed the house, costs, options and gave Dylan some lunch. I changed his nappy too! (hey, it says; ‘great detail!).

Around 2pm we decided to return back to Brighton, but about half an hour into the journey Dylan was not happy about sitting in his carseat anymore so we stopped for another hour, I (breast)fed him and he and Tom had a little sleep while I played plants vs zombies on my iphone and Andy & Maddie had another coffee.

We arrived back around 4pm. Andy, Dylan and I then sat in the garden for a bit, in the sunny sunshine, discussed the volcanic ashes, aeroplanes and the disintegration of communities over the years. Then Dylan played around on the floor for a bit, creeping around.

At 5:30pm we headed off to Maria’s for dinner. She made couscous with rattatouille which was nice and tasty, we also had some tortilla chips with avocado dip. Dylan had apple and strawberry mush. We talked about NVC, Maria’s potential job change and VSO (volunteers abroad). I breastfed Dylan again at some point and played plants vs zombies again (I think I finished the whole game about 4 times now, it doesn’t get boring!).

We then drove home, Dylan had fallen asleep in the car. I put him in his bed, Andy went to bed and I’m now sitting in front of my machine typing this post, hello! :0)

Must really really go to bed!
